danse sur la merde

To my delight, i was, in fact, not dreaming when i heard Prototypes in the new iPod shuffle commercial. Major points to Apple's ad agency to pick France's up and coming electro-pop band (although with two albums out and one on the way over there, not so up and coming). I've been playing Prototypes out for months to warm crowd reception every time, and i barely missed them last time they played in new york. I recommend you buy Danse sur la merde on itunes, trust me, it will be your new favorite song to dance to in front of the mirror, or at Calling All Kids this friday!

freeform five

This friday, Eamon and i are very excited to be re-launching our beloved party CALLING ALL KIDS! It will now take place at the always dance-friendly Luke & Leroy, every 2nd and 4th friday of the month. We plan on bringing only the best guest DJs, from across all genres. This week, we have the honour of having the excellent FREEFORM FIVE (from the UK) doing a special DJ set in support of their new Misch Masch mix CD Featuring tracks and mixes by Simian Mobile Disco, Mylo, SebastiAn, MSTRKRFT, The Gossip and many more.

To keep everyone merry, we're offering 2-4-1 well drinks and domestic beers from 10 to 11pm and again from 3-4am. The party will be hosted by Nico XO, Astro, The Pretty Things and the ladies of We Are Your Friends. Photos will be taken by Brad Walsh. Needless to say, it will be a hell of a party! You need to be 21 to get in, the entry is $8 / $5 with flyer or printout.
