it's never been like that

Last week's Phoenix show was really great. They played new and old stuff, did all their little improv bits and even covered Air's Playground Love. The after-party was great fun as well - and although when the band is in attendance, it is a big faux-pas, i ended up playing one Phoenix song at the label's request. The band will be back touring the US in september, not to be missed!

Asobi Seksu has a new fantastic album called Citrus out on may 30th. It's more noisy than anything you've ever heard from them, yet still showcasing their trademark touch of japanese pop and sweet melodic vocals. They will be playing a release show on june 1st at Joe's Pub with Pas/Cal (a guaranteed amazing show). Listen to Asobi's new songs on myspace. ** Tonight, Adam Wormseye and yours truly are back at Pizza Bar to play a selection of fine tunes from our vast collection of music. Pizza and cocktails are otherwordly delicious and served until 4am! Pizza Bar is located at 9th ave between 14th and 15th.

** Wednesday, it's eamon and me at CALLING ALL KIDS @ Sapphire! Best wednesday night party in all of new york city... need i say more?

** Friday night, i'll be spinning at new club ELEMENT for GBH's party LOADED. With me deejaying will be my buddies Michael stellastarr*, Ciao Bella and The Husky Gentleman! Zygo Vodka Open Bar from 11 to 12am! Element is located on the corner of Houston st. & Essex st.

** Saturday, i am back at TISWAS 2.O @ The Annex for my monthly residency downstairs, where i will be playing an awesome mix of all kinds of genres from 12 to 4am! Upstairs, BENZOS is playing at 11pm! The Annex is located at 152 Orchard St. between Stanton and Rivington St.
