I'm going to be completely honest, i was this close to cancelling my party when i heard that tonight is the only night that Erol Alkan will be spinning in new york (at Don Hill's for Justine and Dave's party)... i've never seen him DJ, and i'm obviously nothing but a huge fan - listen to his sets online, they're amazing. But i'm going to have to miss him (again!), not only because PHOENIX are playing at the Bowery, but also because as it turns out we, Calling All Kids, are throwing our favorite french band an after-party!!

Congrats to my girls Sarah and Leigh for making New York Magazine's most influential peeps of the year.
Tonight, Adam and i will be spinning at PIZZA BAR! We start playing the fine tunes at 10pm, kitchen and bar are open all night. Pizza Bar is located at 49 9th Avenue between 14th and 15th Streets. It was Adam's birthday on sunday, so come celebrate with us!
And on the subject, make sure to watch the latest beautiful video that WORMSEYE recently shot for the band Brookville. Brookville is Andy Chase of Ivy's other project. I love this song for the bossa nova feel, and i love the video for the Wong Kar-Wai references and overall look. Brookville's album Life in the shade will be out on june 13th, and is full of gems similar to this first single.
Fun fact about the video: the french vocals are sung by Sabina of Brazilan Girls, but in the video, the part is played by Tim of the band The Postmarks, who are signed to Andy's label Unfiltered Records. Click on the photo below to watch the video for Nothing's meant to last (QT)...
