je t'aime... moi non plus

Today is the day that i tell you about this week's LE ONE NIGHT STAND presents... J'aime Serge at HIRO Ballroom (at the Maritime Hotel).
Basically, if you're in new york and are a fan of Serge Gainsbourg, if you don't really know Serge but are curious about his music, or if you just want to see a great show and dance at one of the best parties in town, then you have to, have to come this thursday april 6th to our one year anniversary celebration. Three of my favorite local bands, La Laque, Die Romantik and Nous Non Plus will perform SG covers, and for the occasion, i will be joining the boys of Die Romantik on stage for my very first performance!! We're covering Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin and France Gall (all songs written by SG of course). I am extremely nervous and excited all at once, keep in mind that Serge wrote songs for non-singers and since i fall into that category, i will hopefully do his work justice. Once the bands are done, Sheila, Josh Styles, Peppermintwist and myself will be behind the DJ booth and play the best of international pop rock from the 60's on! As always, we'll have sexy go-go dancers, drink specials, surprises and more... i honestly can not wait for this night, it's been a real labour of love for all of us at LONS! Show starts promptly at 8pm, it will be $5 before 11pm (during the live bands) and free after 11pm, don't miss the festivities!
