the start of something
Wow, i haven't updated in a whole week, what a disgrace! This month has already been so busy and insane (good insane that is) and it's only going to get even crazier, with lots of new and fun events in the works. So let's try to make up for the lost posts...
In random facts of the week, i didn't see them but i heard that Queen Latifah and the Williams sisters were chilling at G-Lounge during my after-hours set last saturday... weird, huh? Calling All Kids has been amazingly fun as well in the past two weeks, thanks to all who keep coming and dancing! Next week, we have a big night planned, details to come.
Stellastarr* just announced two Bowery Ballroom headline shows, with a big US tour to follow in march and april. You can buy ticket for the march 26th show here, and for march 27th here.
I've been spinning a song called Oh No! by a new french electronic band called VILLENEUVE, featuring Melanie Pain of Nouvelle Vague. I love the song, and i'm very curious about the full length First Date, which sounds promising. You can listen to all the songs on their website. Speaking of Nouvelle Vague, they will be back in new york to play Irving Plaza in april.
In case you don't know about new blogosphere darlings VOXTROT yet, here's a song i've been listening to on repeat. Their latest EP Raised by the wolves is fantastic...
