At ATOMIQUE tonight, we'll be giving away Ocean's Twelve Soundtrack by David Holmes. David Holmes is an amazing DJ/Producer who came out with an essential mix (amongst other great albums and compilations he worked on) a few years ago that was full of gems and surprises. Guest DJ-ing tonight will be Vivian of Mommy and Daddy! Mommy and Daddy have an EP titled Fighting Style Killer Panda coming out in february on Kanine Records... i'm listening to it now, it's so HOT! The kind of songs that if you hear at a club, you probably couldn't resist moving your head, feet, and pretty much any part of your body! If you've seen one their fervent live performances, you know what i mean. It's fun, energetic, infectious pop-punk that you would never believe only 2 people make and play. I actually can hear the early B-52s comparisons, and i love them! If you want to hear a track or 2 of the new Mommy and Daddy EP, come tonight!

:: Party starts at 10pm
:: Beers and Well Drinks 1/2 off for the first 2 hours!

And as always the Blue Light Special! Every 1 1/2 hour, you get FREE drinks for 15 minutes!!

In trying to attend to many events, i ended up just going to see Surefire on saturday night. With a new team behind them, you can hear some definite changes in their sound. They've refined their songs, added and removed parts, and overall are getting so great. There's one song of theirs i particularly love, it's called The man beside her and will hopefully end on the upcoming EP. They also covered Tom Petty's Listen to her heart, the song was a completely different style for them but they pulled it off nicely.

Friday night, i had such a great time at Supreme Trading for the Crashin'in party. I recommend the party and venue to anyone in need of a good friday night. I also had a lot of fun spinning, tons of people asked me what bands i was playing and towards the end of my set the dance floor was packed and moving.
