Such sad news about the passing of John Peel, i'll really miss The Peel Sessions.

Thanks to everyone who came by ATOMIQUE last night, i hope it was fun!

While in Paris so far: i sat in a room next to Jane Birkin and her band (i gotta say i was quite intimidated!). I missed Rufus Wainwright play because i didn't do my homework before leaving. I watched french MTV in the middle of the night (jet lag!) and saw these videos back to back The Rapture: House of jealous lovers, Interpol: Slow hands, The Verve: Bittersweet symphonu, The Strokes: The end has no end, Blur: Beetlebum and Radiohead: Just, not bad! As always, i walked by Serge Gainsbourg's house reconverted into a giant mural of fan love... and i finally (cause i heard so much about him for years) have discovered this great french singer-songwriter named M, his new song and video Ma Melodie is somptuous. Some of you may have heard of him if you've seen The Triplettes of Belleville, i think he wrote the soundtrack for it.

Tomorrow, the new film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (director of Amélie) comes out in theaters in France, once again starring the adorable Audrey Tautou. Not sure what the title in english is, it's called "Un long dimanche de fiancialles" in french, and i read everywhere that it's amazing. I also read it comes out in the US in late november. I'll be the first in line to see it tomorrow.
