all the king's men

Please, please come to Sin-é on saturday night to check out some of my favorite local musicians who are playing in honor of Asobi Seksu's (re)release self-titled debut album. Ultragrrrl will be djing the night, and of course Asobi Seksu will be headlining. The after-party will take place at the hot new Misshapes @ Luke & Leroy's.

I had a nasty cold all weekend, but i managed to see Dennis Cahlo at the Living Room who graced us with another awe-inspiring and emotionally-charged solo performance. Dennis will be playing at the Asobi Seksu release party on saturday, you'd be a big fool to miss his set.

Of course, i made it to The Day After @ Pianos on sunday, which turned out to be quite exciting. Nina Bella set the mood with a lovely dancy set, then last special minute guests, The Cooper Temple Clause took over and basically spun a bit of everything. They were a lot of fun. The day after ended with Benzos (three of the lads) playing a few acoustic songs made of layered guitars and three-part harmonies. Absolutely beautiful. They're headlining Vicious next tuesday, you'll be able to get the full effect of this ever-impressive group of musicians.
