bigmouth strikes again

Go vote for Dirty on Purpose, they made Suicide Girls's new indie band search for new york finals. Cool.

You Know Yer Indie. Let's Sub-Categorize. [Stolen from Ultragrrrl.]
Take the quiz, it's funny.

britpop
"You're a Britpopper. The UK is your thing. The Smiths really were 'terrif' and Blur are indie no matter how much money they made. You could drink all the other indie kids under the table. You plan on moving to London someday and dream of one day owning every Beatles release on vinyl."

I'm a britpopper? me??

what do i get

If you're around tonight, check this out:

"Come out and join +1 Public Relations and TVT Records at Hi-Fi on Monday, December 8th at 8pm for the very first listen of songs from Ambulance LTD's highly anticipated forthcoming full length album due out in early Spring 2004"
HiFi is on Avenue A between 10th and 11th.

Last week, The Realistics played one of their best sets ever opening for the Buzzcocks at Irving Plaza. First off, the sound was amazing... second, the band was really really tight. They did some cool variations on some of the parts and vocals, it sounded great. The best part was seeing the young and (not so young) Buzzocks punked up fans rock to their music. Speaking of which, except for two songs, which they didn't play until the very end, i don't know much about the Buzzcocks. Now i know, they are one of the fastest, tightest bands i've heard live. Problem is when you're not familiar with the material, it all sounds the same.
Check out a cool Realistics interview.

I've said before, i'll say it again... Asobi Seksu is without any doubt one of nyc's best rising bands. If you were at Sin-e last week and saw them play, you know what i mean. Their live act is getting stronger each time. Expect a release early next year.

I suck, i missed Calla at the bowery on saturday night.

Check out photos of Ben Kweller at the Bowery Ballroom.
